anuview has the ability to alert on different flow entries that match known bad ip addresses,scanning or outside profile.
Whitelisting provides the facility to tell the checking mechanism in anuview to not mark as an exception on any of these conditions for a particular ip or subnet. When defining a whitelist you specify a reason as to why to exclude host or hosts.
If you set the IP address as that of the infrastructure device and the mask to 0, flow will whitelist all traffic for the device.
